Frequently Asked Questions

Small knots can generally be brushed out, however in some cases where we deem the dog to be matted, a full clip off may be the only comfortable option for your dog. Additional fees will be advised at time of consult. Our matting fees are approximately $5-$25.
Unfortunately, due to sizing constraints, we are unable to cater for extra large dogs.
When you come to your appointment, we ask that you have your dog’s on a lead, then we will take care of your pooch and be in touch once their groom is complete.
At Boutique Tails we use treats as a positive and encouraging way to reward your dog and keep them happy during the groom. Should your dog have a special diet, or any food sensitivities, please bring along their own treats.
Please also provide a collar and lead.
When your appointment is made, we ask that you don’t arrive too early as introducing your dogs into the salon while we are finishing off the last appointment causes the dogs to become excited and or stressed which can be dangerous and cause delays.
Please also arrive promptly when you have been advised your dog(s) are ready for collection as dog sitting fees may apply.
Should you need to change or cancel your appointment, please provide us with 24 hours notice or cancellation fees may apply.
We accept Cash, Debit Cards, MasterCard and Visa.
Unfortunately not. We find that this can cause your dog to be come stressed and anxious as they will not stay still and will often make it very difficult or sometimes impossible to complete a groom. They quickly settle down, just like a child at Kinder. It is best to drop off your dog at the scheduled time, and then come back when the treatment is finished.
If you do have any concerns, please discuss these with your groomer.
